Privacy policy
This page explains what data LEUKEMIA.WORLD processes, how cookies and advertising are used, and how you can control your choices.
Who we are
This policy applies to the website https://leukemia.world (the “site”, “we”). The site owner is responsible for the processing of data. Contact: cafarofkamal@gmail.com.
In short
- There are no registrations, accounts or comments; there are only optional newsletter and contact forms. We do not ask for your phone number or health information.
- Some settings, such as your language, are stored only on your device.
- The site may show Google AdSense ads; Google and its partners may use cookies. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time.
What data is processed
Settings stored on your device. The site saves your language (lw.lang), theme and accessibility settings and cookie choice (lw.consent) in your browser’s local storage. This data is not sent to us; you can delete it in your browser settings.
Server logs. The site is hosted by a trusted hosting provider. As with any website, the hosting provider may briefly keep technical data (IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time) for security and to operate the site.
Fonts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts servers; Google receives your IP address and browser information when this happens.
Emails. If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Newsletter (email subscription)
If you subscribe to the free newsletter, we keep your email address and chosen language. The form is received through a trusted service of our hosting provider; the address is used only to send news about the site, is never sold and never shared. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email or by writing “Unsubscribe” to cafarofkamal@gmail.com — your address will be deleted.
Analytics
To understand what is read on the site, Google Analytics 4 may be loaded only after you give consent in the cookie banner; without consent no analytics runs. The site may also count aggregated, cookie-free visit numbers without personal data.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). You can opt out of other third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info.
Non-personalised ads may still use cookies — for example, to limit how often an ad is shown and to prevent fraud.
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We do not collect information about your health and do not pass any to advertisers. Google’s policies do not allow personalised ads to be targeted on sensitive categories such as health.
Cookies and consent
On your first visit a cookie notice appears at the bottom of the screen. If you choose “Accept”, advertising partners may use cookies for personalised ads. If you choose “Decline”, only non-personalised ads will be requested whenever ads are shown. Your choice is stored on your device, and you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the site.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland may also be asked for advertising consent through a consent management platform that meets Google’s requirements.
Legal bases and your rights (GDPR)
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the legal basis for personalised advertising cookies is your consent; for server logs and site security it is our legitimate interest. You have the right to:
- access your data and ask for it to be corrected or deleted;
- restrict or object to processing;
- ask for data portability;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing that took place before);
- complain to the data protection authority in your country.
In Azerbaijan, personal data is protected by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Personal Data”. For any request, write to cafarofkamal@gmail.com.
International transfers
Service providers such as our hosting provider and Google may process data on servers in the United States and other countries. They use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for international transfers.
Children
The site is intended for adults — patients, parents and caregivers — and is not directed at children under 13 (in the European Economic Area, under the age of digital consent in their country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe such data has reached us, write to us and we will delete it.
Retention and security
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described. The site is served over encrypted HTTPS.

Articles link to other websites (for example, our sources). We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
